CMA utilities engineering services include providing stormwater master planning and design, water and wastewater treatment, transmission, collection and distribution systems design. Some sample projects are highlighted below.
Monroe County, FL CMA is the engineering consultant for the final design and permitting of installation of wastewater collection systems within Monroe County. The final product will be a permitted conveyance system that will combine various wastewater collection system technologies in order to connect as many on-site wastewater systems as possible for the lowest overall cost.
Miami Beach, FL Providing civil engineering and landscape architecture for Sunset Islands 3 and 4, previously CMA completed utility improvements for islands 1 and 2. Bid as design-build. The project consists of the replacement of 8" potable water mains, lining of existing sanitary sewer mains, new storm water drainage system, including discharge pumps and outfalls, undergrounding of all existing overhead utilities, new service connections to all properties and roadway reconstruction.
Miami-Dade County, FL As part of the team LAN Team, Chen Moore prepared plans for the design build package for the rehabilitation/replacement of a 72" existing force main from NW/NE 159th Street between NW 17th Avenue and NE 10th Avenue for Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD). Some CMA tasks included: review and collection of available aerial photography, maps and LIDAR data; utility coordination; acquiring existing/available geotechnical data, among other things.
Broward County, FL. CMA was the prime consultant of a design-build team tasked to design, permit and construct the relocation of a 48-inch force main in the Florida Turnpike Right-of-Way (ROW). Coordination activities included Florida's Turnpike Enterprise of the Florida Department of Transportation, South Florida Water Management District, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Broward County Water and Wastewater Services. The project schedule was an aggressive 112 days.
Pompano Beach, FL. CMA is responsible for managing the planning and design of the city's Lift Station Rehabilitation Program. CMA provided the design, permitting, and construction administration for the rehabilitation/and or replacement of existing lift stations including the construction of new force mains which will connect each lift station into the sanitary pressure network for the city of Pompano Beach.
Fort Lauderdale, FL The Broadview Park Neighborhood Improvement Project (BPNIP) was the last of the Neighborhood Infrastructure Improvements projects to be carried out by Broward County in the unincorporated areas. CMA was selected as the prime consultant for the Basis of Design Report (BODR) and to design and administer the construction of improvements to subsequent bid packages.
